A review of A Botanist’s Guide to Rituals and Revenge by Kate Khavari

I was so excited to read this book, I finished it in about 48 hours, unable to put it down. The Saffron Everleigh Mysteries really get you into the time period. In this one we get to meet a medium and attend a few seances. I’ve always found the spiritualism of the early 20th century fascinating. One of the themes that gets explored in this series that goes a little deeper in this novel is the loss of The Great War. Sometimes by book 4 you get dropped plot points or stagnant characters but not here. You get a lot of growth from several characters and get to meet ones we have only heard about before. Plus the change of location mixes things up. Meeting Saffron’s Mom and Grandmother helped a lot of things fall into place. I recommend this series and definitely this installment. *This was an ARC from NetGalley but all thoughts are mine. Thank you!
